Chris Brogan is one of the leading authorities on social media communications today. Which explains why his recently published book, Trust Agents, is a New York Times best seller. As Chris mentions in the post below, most of his clients are larger but he believes small businesses can get enormous value from social media by starting with a few simple steps. And that is good advice. Keep it very simple. Keep it consistent. And, of course, be patient.

I had been eagerly awaiting the arrival of the kindle version of Chris Brogan’s Trust Agents: Using the Web to Build Influence, Improve Reputation, and Earn Trust. It is a real page turner. Being originally from New York, I really enjoy the way it reads just as much as what it says. In fact, the writing style is so convincing I feel as I though I hear the narrator speaking with a New Yawk South Bronx accent, directly tuh me. I mean, to me!
I’ll be posting my comments in the coming days but let’s just say I don’t think this book is going to take me a year and a day to read. Although it’s over 4,000 pages long on my small kindle screen, I have a feeling I’ll be finished reading it by the end of next week.
And who knows, maybe my thoughts about the social media won’t be the only thing to change. Maybe my accent will too. :)
But I am hoping that it gives me some useful ideas for helping my clients. So far, so good. There are some nice gems I’ve come across already. But more later.
